Annual Report

  • RPC and 2005-A year of tragedy and    transformation /Building a better world

Dear Friends of RPC,

In RPC six to seven years of work there has never been a year like this for children and women

Thankfully you were more than a witness or casual bystander to these issues. You acted with compassing with generosity with faith that in the midst of tragedy, God can use us to transform lives.

God reach children through the overwhelming generosity of donors like you. I pray for the day when the “Chains of injustice” that bind children in poverty will be broken forever. Together, we are sharing God’s love in practical ways that enable families and communities to be transformed.

May God bless you,
Samuel Assefa,

Physical Report

A look back at our various programs will show that we have achieved a measurable degree of success despite facing seemingly insurmountable problems.  The dedication and commitment of RPC’s staff have played a major role in reaching the set goals.

  • The orphan and vulnerable children’s program we now have 643 children registered in this program with their economic and psycho-social needs more or less met.  Most of their guardians are quite satisfied with the services their children are receiving.

  • Street and vulnerable children’s program Serving 400 street children obviously isn’t smooth sailing; it requires a great deal of patience and perseverance. But with commitment and dogged determination, we have been able to accomplish what we set out to do.  A good number of the street children have been reunified with their families; some have been rehabilitated after starting small, self-help trading exercises; some others have taken on vocational skills training, and still others are pursuing formal education.

  • “Kebele” 06 KG School The community has entrusted us with the responsibility of running a school with 179 pupils.  Since the takeover of the school, a lot of improvement has been done and this has brought a great deal of satisfaction to the community dwellers.
